Toshiba unveils five new entry level range LED TVs
Toshiba has launched five new ranges of entry-level LED based HDTV displays for the year ahead. All models will feature Edge-LED technology, Toshibas Active Vision video processing engine (50Hz), and at least an integrated Freeview tuner.
The highest spec LED TVs on offer come in the Toshiba RL range. Available in 32", 37" and 42", the Toshiba RL series boasts a full HD native screen resolution of 1920 x 1080, built-in Freeview HD tuner, four HDMI ports, and internet connectivity to web apps like BBC iPlayer, YouTube and Flickr. The Regza RL833 series of EDGE-Led TVs will also sport the manufacturer’s Resolution+ SD upconversion processing system.
The second highest range of LED TVs come in the form of the Toshiba DB series. These come in 32" and 42" screen sizes and come complete with a built-in Blu-Ray player! Unfortunatley they do not offer Freeview HD, and only have two HDMI inputs. The next level of new LED TVs are the Toshiba 32HL833 (32") and 42HL833 (42"), which have the same spec as the DB series minus the Blu-Ray player.
The basic new LED TVs on offer are the Toshiba DL833 and EL833 series. Available in 19", 22", 26" and 32" screen sizes, they are HD-ready (1366 x 768), with the only difference being the DL833 series offers a built-in DVD player.
